Megan Caley obit photoMegan Stephanie Caley, 36, of New Hampton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, surrounded by her family at a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.

Born on December 20, 1987, in Sacramento, California, Megan was the eldest daughter of John and Janice (Soares) Wagner. In 1993, the family relocated to Ridgeway, Missouri, and in 2001, they moved to Bethany, Missouri, where Megan attended South Harrison High School. During her high school years, she met her future husband, Ian Caley. Megan committed her life to Christ at Immanuel Baptist Church during her teenage years and remained an active member throughout her life.

Megan graduated from South Harrison in 2006 and later earned her bachelor’s degree. She began her career at Cerner in Kansas City before moving to CommonSpirit Health, where she also earned her master’s degree. Recently, she joined Banner Health as a Project Manager.

In 2009, Megan married Ian Caley, and together they pursued their dream of living on a farm. Megan learned to mow hay and work cattle alongside her husband. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Charolette Marie Caley, in 2011, followed by their second daughter, Caroline Mae, three years later. Their third daughter, Catherine Monroe, was born three and a half years after Caroline. Megan and Ian enjoyed traveling, attending church, and participating in various community activities with their family.

Megan served as the Treasurer for Immanuel Baptist Church and chaired the new building project. She is survived by her husband, Ian Caley; their three daughters, Charolette, Caroline, and Catherine; her father, John (Teresa) Wagner; sisters, Melyssa (Nick) Neuner and Mallorie Wagner; in-laws, Ken and Sandra Caley; sister-in-law, Klaire Caley; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Wagner, and her maternal grandparents, John and Donna Soares.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Bethany, Missouri, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Foster Cemetery in New Hampton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
