Madalyn Tipton of Princeton, Missouri, and Bree Vaughn of Cainsville, Missouri, have been selected to represent GRM Networks at the 2024 Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. The high school juniors will join peers from across the United States this summer, participating in a program designed to educate them about the importance of broadband in rural communities.

The FRS Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid trip, aims to bring together students from rural areas to explore broadband applications, and historical sites, and engage in team-building exercises. Over five days, Tipton and Vaughn will tour significant monuments, participate in workshops, and develop lifelong friendships. They will also attend presentations by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to understand its role in supporting rural America and spend a day on Capitol Hill, meeting with congressional staff and members.

Eligibility for the tour requires applicants to be high school students, aged 16 or 17, with a parent or legal guardian who is an active member of GRM Networks. Interested students are encouraged to plan their applications for the next year by visiting the GRM Networks website for more details.

Madalyn Tipton, attending Princeton R-5, is the daughter of Mike and Melanie Tipton. Bree Vaughn, a student at Cainsville R-1, is the daughter of Shane and Hilarie Vaughn. Both are actively involved in their school and community, exemplifying the qualities sought in representatives for the tour.
