Medical condition leads to Highway 36 crash in Macon

A single-vehicle accident occurred on August 13, 2024, at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Highway 36 in Macon, Missouri. The accident involved a 2022 Buick Encore driven by Stephen W. Bright, a 60-year-old man from Bucklin, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bright experienced a medical condition while driving westbound, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. The Buick Encore traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Despite the impact, Bright did not suffer any injuries in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
