Meadville teen flown to hospital after ATV strikes deer in roadway

In the early hours of August 3, 2024, a serious ATV accident occurred on Crow Drive, approximately 2.5 miles southeast of Meadville, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident involved a Honda Foreman ATV driven by a 15-year-old male from Meadville.

The crash happened at around 2:18 a.m. while the ATV was traveling southbound on Crow Drive. The vehicle struck a deer in the roadway, causing the driver to be ejected from the ATV.

The juvenile driver sustained serious injuries and was flown by Life Flight Eagle to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. The ATV, which sustained extensive damage, was towed by Precision Auto Towing of Brookfield. The driver was not wearing any safety gear at the time of the accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Meadville First Responders.
