Maryville woman injured in single-vehicle crash near Stanberry

On August 2, 2024, at approximately 7:42 p.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 136, five miles west of Stanberry, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident involved a 2007 Buick Lucerne driven by Jacole D. Hunziger, 21, of Maryville, Missouri.

The incident happened as the westbound Buick failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the roadway, and struck an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels, facing northwest off the roadway.

Hunziger, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, sustained minor injuries. She was taken by Grand River EMS to Mosaic Albany for treatment. The vehicle was totaled and towed by Smith’s Towing and Recovery.
