Cooper G. Murphy, a 19-year-old man from Chula, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in an ATV crash involving a 2024 Honda Foreman. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. on August 3, 2024, at the intersection of Livingston 230th and Livingston 277th, two miles north of Wheeling.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Murphy was driving eastbound when the ATV went through a T-intersection, continued through a fence, and overturned, ejecting Murphy. Despite his injuries, Murphy managed to drive the vehicle from the scene.
Murphy, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was later transported by private vehicle to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment.
The accident was investigated by Corporal B. N. Raney, with assistance from Sergeant J. C. Gilliland and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.
