Lake of the Ozarks drowning claims life of 33-year-old Kansas man

A 33-year-old man from Lenexa, Kansas, drowned at Lake of the Ozarks on August 10, 2024. The incident occurred at Raccoon Hollow Cove near the 0.3-mile mark on the Gravois Arm of the lake.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Delphine Mwombeki intentionally entered the water from a dock around 5:45 p.m. and did not resurface. Despite efforts, Mwombeki could not be revived and was later pronounced dead. His body was released to Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted in the recovery by Trooper A.A. Lindley and Master Sergeant J.R. Hardy.
