LaVerne Rentfrow, an 87-year-old resident of Trenton, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.
He will be cremated under the direction of Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.
Jewell LaVerne Rentfrow was born on June 24, 1937, in Trenton, Missouri, to Elmer and Grace (Grubb) Rentfrow. He graduated from Trenton High School and attended one year at Trenton Junior College. He was married to Nedra Brinser, and to this union, three daughters were born. LaVerne was a truck driver and worked for Meservey Farms for many years. He loved working with horses and frequently attended horse shows and participated in many rodeos as a roper.
Surviving relatives include his daughters Sharon Heisler of Cameron, Karen Alley of Trenton, and Laura Hynson of Claycomo, Missouri; a sister, Beverly Roberts of Trenton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
