All lanes of Interstate 29 in Buchanan County are now open. Contractors from Clarkson Construction Company, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, reopened the interstate at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 18.

This closure allowed the contractor to set new girders and remove Cook Road Bridge’s existing deck, which will be replaced with a new driving surface. The Cook Road Bridge rehabilitation project is anticipated to be completed by October 2024.

Overnight lane closures on I-29 below the bridge may occur between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. on various dates throughout the project. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. To learn more about the project, visit: this link on the MoDOT website.
