A single-vehicle crash on Highway 169 in Stanberry, Missouri, occurred in the early hours of September 1, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m. The accident involved a 2023 Ford F350 driven by Cody E. Cheatham, 25, of Spring, Texas.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened as the Ford F350 was traveling northbound on Highway 169. The driver, Cheatham, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to veer off the east side of the road. Cheatham, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to Mosaic Life Care by Grand River Ambulance for medical treatment. The Ford F350 sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Bohler Towing of Albany.

Assistance at the scene was provided by Corporal J.D. Maudlin, the Gentry County Sheriff’s Department, and the Stanberry Fire Department.
