Heat advisory issued for north Missouri August 24 to 25

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill, Missouri, has issued a Heat Advisory effective from August 24 at 2:33 a.m. until August 25 at 8:00 p.m. Heat index values are expected to reach up to 109 degrees Fahrenheit.

Forecast as of Saturday afternoon, August 24, 2024:

  • Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low of around 74. South southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 105. South wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
  • Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 75. South wind around 7 mph.
  • Monday: Sunny, with a high near 96. South southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
  • Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 74.
  • Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 94.
