Nearly $50,000 ($49,710) was generated for Grundy County youth during the livestock premium sale held late Sunday afternoon. Fifteen exhibitors from Grundy County participated, each selling one animal they displayed at the North Central Missouri Fair last week. The auction featured a total of 46 bidders.

The single largest sale was $3,100, awarded to Catelin Bowe for her calf, purchased by the Farmer’s Bank of Northern Missouri. The money spent by the winning exhibitors will help the youth defray the costs associated with raising and showing livestock at fairs.
