The Grundy County Commission signed papers on August 13 regarding a Missouri Department of Public Safety grant, which involves Grundy County Ambulance communications radios being on the Missouri Statewide Interoperability Network.

The Grundy County Clerk’s Office reports that it is a matching grant, with the county and the Missouri Department of Public Safety each covering 50% of the total amount. The county’s portion is $13,397.46, bringing the total grant amount to $26,794.92.

The Missouri Department of Public Safety website states that MOSWIN allows local, state, and federal partners to communicate with each other across the state.

The Grundy County Commission also received a report on health insurance. Grundy County Presiding Commissioner Phillip Ray stated that the county is on track or performing better this year compared to last year with health insurance.

Additionally, the Missouri Department of Transportation provided a report. Ray noted that no structures are currently shut down on county roads.
