The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of two Trenton residents on July 29th.

Thirty-two-year-old Stephen Walker was apprehended by the Trenton Police Department on a felony charge of third-degree domestic assault. Bond was set at $20,000 cash only, with conditions including supervision by North Missouri Court Services and no contact with the alleged victim.

Court documents allege that Walker caused physical pain to an individual by striking them on the head with a closed fist. The alleged victim is described as a domestic partner, related to Walker by marriage, with whom he shares children.

Fifty-five-year-old Samantha Marie Ratkovich, already in custody on a previous charge, was arrested on July 29th for felony hindering prosecution of a felony. Her bond was also set at $20,000 cash only, with a condition of supervision by North Missouri Court Services.

Ratkovich is accused of hiding an individual in June to prevent their apprehension. The individual was reportedly concealed in a camper on Ratkovich’s property.

Both Walker and Ratkovich are scheduled to appear in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court on August 13th.
