The absentee ballot count for the primary election in Grundy County is almost identical to the number recorded in the previous primary election held two years ago.
County Clerk Courtney Campbell has reported that a total of 238 absentee ballots have been cast for the current primary election. This is just one more than the 237 absentee ballots recorded in the 2022 primary election and six more than the 232 absentee ballots counted in the 2020 primary election.
On the final day for absentee balloting, which was Monday, 51 votes were cast at the Grundy County courthouse. Additionally, six absentee ballots have yet to be returned to the clerk’s office at the courthouse.
