Grundy County has reported a significant increase in sales tax revenue, with each of the three county sales taxes seeing an uptick of more than $23,000. This comparison is based on receipts collected during the first seven months of the current calendar year, from January through July, compared to the same period last year.
The revenue growth for this period is recorded at a substantial 7.3 percent. Collections for the year have reached approximately $341,000 each for law enforcement, general revenue, and general revenue, which partially benefits the Grundy County Ambulance Service.
