On July 30th, Lisa Colson from the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission met with the Grundy County Commission to discuss the ongoing Thompson River Project.

Colson presented letters for an environmental cultural study, which will be sent to various tribes as part of the second phase of the project. She mentioned that she is coordinating with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is getting reimbursed for invoices that need to be paid.

The second phase of the Thompson River Project, funded through HUD, will involve similar work to the first phase but will be carried out in a different location to prevent washout downstream.

In other news, Ambulance Director Matt Walker reported the delivery of a new transit van. The van is currently being prepared for service.

Additionally, the Grundy County Road and Bridge Department provided updates on their ongoing projects.
