A 46-year-old man from Phillipsburg, Missouri, died in a motorcycle crash on Highway MM near Rustic Drive in Laclede County on Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m.

According to the report, Albert A. Ishman was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson westbound on Highway MM. Ishman attempted to pass another vehicle when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned in a ditch. Ishman was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders pronounced Ishman deceased at the scene. Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell confirmed the time of death at 4:16 p.m. Ishman’s body was transported to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel in Lebanon.

The crash marks the third fatality in July for Troop I and the 22nd fatality of 2024. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by Trooper J. C. Southwood in the investigation.
