Fatal crash on Highway 24 in Randolph County claims life of teen driver

An 18-year-old teenager from Salisbury, Missouri, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday evening on Highway 24, two miles west of Huntsville, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Zander Munden was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze westbound on Highway 24 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck multiple trees. Munden was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Acting Randolph County Coroner N.D. Berry at 6:38 p.m.

The vehicle was totaled and towed by Prather’s Wrecker.

The crash was investigated by Trooper Gipson, with assistance from Trooper Miller, Trooper Billings, the Westran Fire Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, and local ambulance services.
