Grundy County’s assessed valuation for real estate and personal property has reached over $146,700 for this year, marking a nearly $1,000 increase from last year’s figure of $145,877.

A public hearing is scheduled for Monday, August 12th, at 6:30 p.m., to discuss the tax levy for collections starting in November. The event will take place in the first-floor conference room of the Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton. The Families and Friends of Developmentally Disabled Individuals will hold this hearing to set their tax levy.

The Senate Bill 40 Board will lead the meeting, with discussions centered on maintaining the current tax levy of ten cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
