Elderly man from Climax Springs drowns at Lake of the Ozarks

A drowning incident occurred on August 3, 2024, at 5:24 p.m. at Lake of the Ozarks, resulting in the death of a 77-year-old man from Climax Springs, Missouri.

Robert A. Crider was found face down in the water by the docks at 1268 Sunset Shores, Climax Springs. His wife discovered him and called for assistance. Despite efforts to revive him, Crider was pronounced dead by Dr. Henderson at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Crider’s body was taken to Hedges Scott Funeral Homes in Camdenton.

The incident was assisted by Northwest Fire and Mercy Ambulance.
