Driver suffers minor injuries in single-vehicle crash near Mound City

A single-vehicle accident on Route E, one mile south of Mound City, Missouri, resulted in minor injuries to the driver on Sunday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 12:58 p.m. on September 1, 2024.

A 1986 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Teresa A. Davis, 65, of Forrest City, Missouri, was traveling southbound on Route E when the vehicle veered off the west side of the roadway. The Jeep returned to the roadway, crossed the center, and then traveled off the east side. The vehicle struck an embankment and rotated counterclockwise before coming to rest on its wheels, facing west off the east side of the roadway.

Injuries Reported:

  • Teresa A. Davis, 65, from Forrest City, Missouri: The driver of the Jeep Wrangler sustained minor injuries and was transported by Atchison Holt EMS to Fairfax Community Hospital.

The Jeep Wrangler sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Double D Towing.

Assistance at the scene of the crash was provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Holt County Sheriff’s Department.
