A 68-year-old man from Cameron, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries after being ejected from his vehicle in a single-vehicle accident late Thursday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred on Route C, approximately four miles north of Cameron, at 10:35 p.m.

Dale L. Feese was driving a 2004 Lexus RX350 northbound on Route C when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve. The Lexus traveled off the west side of the road, struck the ground, and hit a warning sign before continuing northbound in a ditch. The vehicle then returned to the roadway, began to overturn, and ejected the driver. The vehicle eventually came to rest on its wheels off the west side of the road, facing east, with the driver underneath.

Feese, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was initially transported by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. LifeFlight Eagle later airlifted him to North Kansas City Hospital for further treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department and Cameron Police Department.
