Donald Ragan obit photoDonald “Donnie” Gene Ragan, a 69-year-old resident of Trenton, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Ragan was born on December 4, 1954, in Gilman City, MO, to Wayne Carlile and Rena Elaine (Sutton) Ragan. He graduated from Gilman City High School in 1974. He was employed by the cheese plant in Bethany, MO, then worked for Rival Manufacturing in Albany, MO, before spending three years working on a farm. He then became a forklift driver for Landmark Manufacturing in Gallatin, MO, where he worked for 36 years.

In 1974, he married Goldie Wise, and together they had three daughters: Regena Alley, Rachel Loyd, and Kelsey Waltz. He had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, spending time with family, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Rena Ragan, his brothers Randall, Hershal, Daniel, Lavern, and Gary Ragan, his sisters Helen and Phillis Ragan, and one daughter, Regena Alley.

He is survived by his wife Goldie Ragan of the home; his daughters Rachel Loyd of Iowa Falls, IA, and Kelsey (Joshua) Waltz of Trenton; eight grandchildren: Kameron (Megan) Alley of Booneville, MO, Jacy (Tylor) Brown of Alden, IA, Dalton Loyd of Iowa Falls, IA, Jena Loyd of Iowa Falls, IA, Nevaeh Carpenter, Brentlee Waltz, Breckon Waltz, and Bryxton Waltz of Trenton; four great-grandchildren: Kingston and Mason Alley of Booneville, MO, and Tucker and Jovi of Alden, IA; one adopted daughter Trena (David) Hennessey and their children Chloe, Adrian, and Kyler of Moberly, MO.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. He will be cremated following the services. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to Tenth Street Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
