A 29-year-old woman was arrested following a report of an alleged assault at Dickinson Avenue and Third Street in Chillicothe on Monday morning, August 26th.
Chillicothe Police Captain Curtis Hayes stated that officers were dispatched to the scene in response to an active physical assault. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and the victim and determined the incident to be a domestic assault. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.
Jaymiee Layne Goodrich has been charged with misdemeanor domestic assault. Bond was set with own recognizance posting allowed. As part of the conditions, Goodrich is required to have no contact with the alleged victim and will be supervised by Supervision Services.
The Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services assisted Chillicothe Police officers during the incident.
