Daviess County Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help in harassment probe

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in an ongoing criminal investigation involving harassment in the first degree, classified as a Class E felony under Missouri Revised Statutes. The offense carries potential penalties of up to four years of incarceration in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

The investigation is centered around recent incidents at a local monastery near the Weatherby/Winston area. Reports indicate that multiple suspects, in several vehicles, have trespassed on private property, honking their horns and shouting obscenities.

Authorities have collected video evidence related to these incidents and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Individuals with knowledge about these crimes are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 660-663-3300, extension 9.
