The Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe will hold a fundraiser in which 10 area community members will create art with area artists.

Those attending can visit with “Bad Art by Good People” participants during a social hour at Cultural Corner on the evening of March 21st at 6 o’clock.

Gallery Director Lacey Anderson says participants include Trenton Mayor Linda Crooks and artist Dan Maxey, Chillicothe Mayor Theresa Kelly, Eric Sensenich from Sensenich Jeweler, Mike Pope from the Grand River YMCA, and Bishop Hogan Memorial School Principal Pam Brobst.

Each group will create a piece of art using stained glass, photography, paint, needle felt, watercolor, or sculpture. Anderson notes some community members chose what media they wanted to use while others were just paired with artists. The artwork created will be auctioned off March 21st at 7 o’clock.

This is the first year the Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery has held Bad Art by Good People. Anderson mentions the idea came from the Hannibal Arts Council who has held events like it in the past.

Tickets cost $20.00 and may be purchased at the art guild Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 4 o’clock and Saturday from 10 to 2 o’clock. They can also be purchased at the door of the event.
