Crash on Railroad Avenue in Stewartsville injures motorcyclist

A single-vehicle crash occurred on Railroad Avenue in Stewartsville at approximately 5:35 p.m. on August 19, 2024. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Harley Davidson, driven by James D. Tripp, 64, of Stewartsville, Missouri, was involved in the accident.

The Harley Davidson was traveling westbound when it veered off the south side of the roadway, causing the motorcycle to overturn. As a result, Tripp was ejected from the motorcycle. The vehicle came to rest in a ditch, and the driver sustained moderate injuries.

Tripp was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash. He was transported by Tri-County Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, for treatment.

The Stewartsville Fire Department assisted at the scene, and the motorcycle was removed by a family member.
