Crash on Highway 151 in Shelby County sends driver to hospital

On the morning of March 6, 2024, a two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 151 in Clarence, Missouri, resulting in minor injuries for one of the drivers involved. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 9:37 a.m.

The incident involved a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by 84-year-old Laterlle R. Walker from Clarence, Missouri, and a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 65-year-old Gerry W. Boling from Lentner, Missouri. Reports indicate that the PT Cruiser was traveling eastbound when it failed to yield and struck the northbound Silverado.

Walker sustained minor injuries in the collision and was not using a seat belt at the time of the accident. He was transported by Salt River Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Missouri, for treatment. Boling, who was wearing a seat belt, did not report any injuries and was able to drive the Silverado from the scene with minor damage.

The PT Cruiser suffered moderate damage and was secured on the roadside near Willow Street, east of Highway 151.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clarence Police Department, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, and the Shelby County Fire Department.
