A Cowgill man is facing felony charges in Caldwell County after allegedly sending numerous text messages and making repeated phone calls to an individual over less than a week.

Mark Thomas Rold, 34, has been charged with first-degree stalking and two counts of first-degree harassment. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of peace disturbance. The court set his bond at $25,000 cash only, with a special condition for supervision by Supervision Services. Rold is prohibited from contacting the alleged victim.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Rold is accused of sending 252 text messages to a victim between August 20 and 25 and attempting to call that person 254 times from August 24 to 26.

The affidavit also alleges that Rold traveled a gravel road multiple times a day and occasionally stopped at the end of the alleged victim’s driveway while playing loud music.
