Chillicothe residents involved in Linn County crash

A Chillicothe woman sustained moderate injuries in an accident in Linn County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Dover Drive, four miles northwest of Linneus, at approximately 5:35 p.m. on April 6, 2024.

The vehicle involved, a 2022 Polaris Razor driven by Derick D. McIntyre, 39, also from Chillicothe, Missouri, was traveling southbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway. The Polaris Razor began to overturn and struck a tree, resulting in minor damage to the vehicle. McIntyre, who was wearing safety equipment at the time of the accident, drove the vehicle from the scene.

Shelly M. Epperson, 41, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered moderate injuries despite wearing a safety device. She was transported by Linn County Ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Ambulance, and Linneus Fire Department assisted at the scene of the accident.
