Chillicothe police respond to multiple incidents over the weekend

Throughout the weekend from Friday, August 23, to Sunday, August 25, 2024, officers from the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of calls and conducted numerous traffic stops across the city.

Friday, August 23

The day began with officers coordinating with an external law enforcement agency at 9:21 a.m. regarding an ongoing investigation. Sunday, August 25

Early Sunday morning at 12:25 a.m., officers checked a vehicle in a closed business parking lot in the 1400 block of Washington Street and confirmed it belonged to an employee. Later in the day, at 11:51 a.m., officers assisted a vehicle that had broken down at the intersection of Business 36 and US 65, helping to move it onto the shoulder.

At 1:06 p.m., a disturbance at a business in the 600 block of East Business 36 prompted officers to respond. The manager requested the male involved be trespassed, and officers advised him to leave the premises. Later, at 6:33 p.m., a disturbance in the 2700 block of Washington Street was resolved by the officers.

The final incident for the weekend was a phone call at 7:50 p.m. about a possible assault. The caller indicated they would come in to file an official report.
