Chillicothe police report several arrests and traffic-related incidents

Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department were involved in various law enforcement activities, including multiple arrests, traffic stops, and responses to a traffic crash. 

A 50-year-old woman was arrested on an active arrest warrant for driving while revoked or suspended, classified as a second or third offense in Livingston County. The woman turned herself in at the Chillicothe Police Department. Unable to post the required bond, she was subsequently transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

In a separate incident, officers attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of North Washington Street and Clay Street. The vehicle initially failed to yield but eventually came to a stop in the 400 block of South Washington Street. The driver, a 68-year-old woman, was arrested for exceeding the posted speed limit and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. She was processed at the police department and released pending a court appearance.

Officers were also dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with unknown injuries on U.S. Highway 36 at St. Mitchell Avenue. Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene. Assisting agencies included the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Gabrielson’s Towing. A report was taken following the incident, and no further details on injuries were provided.

During a traffic stop in the 1300 block of North Washington Street, a 31-year-old man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. After processing at the Chillicothe Police Department, the man was released pending a court appearance. Gabrielson’s Towing assisted at the scene.

In another traffic stop in the 2600 block of North Washington Street, officers identified the driver as a juvenile. During the stop, officers discovered a controlled substance. The juvenile was detained and later released with citations issued.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated or drugged condition following a traffic stop at Missouri Highway 190 and Mohawk Road. He was processed at the police department and released pending a court appearance.
