The Chillicothe Police Department recently received a Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association grant.
The police department reports the grant for almost $10,000 was used for some upgrades within the department, including purchasing body camera upgrades, a surveillance system, an automated external defibrillator, and an in-car camera.
The MIRMA grant was one of several the Chillicothe Police Department applied for and received in 2018.
The department has received nearly $80,000 in grants this year and plans to continue to apply for grants and use them in the “best way possible.”
