The Chillicothe Police Department has released a report detailing activities and responses for Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The officers were engaged in various incidents ranging from domestic assaults to investigations of mistreatment of animals and property damage.

Throughout the day, the Chillicothe Police Department engaged in routine traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and follow-ups on numerous investigations, culminating in a total of 93 calls for service.

  • 12:32 AM: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Bryan Street following a domestic assault report. An adult male was arrested and transported to CCDC pending formal charges.
  • 08:28 AM: Court papers were served in the 700 block of Webster Street.
  • 08:52 AM: The Animal Control Officer (ACO) provided information on pet licenses.
  • 08:53 AM: Evidence custodians returned property to its rightful owner at the LEC.
  • 09:16 AM: An investigation into mistreated animals in the 1000 block of Elm Street led to over 20 citations for animal offenses.
  • 11:57 AM: A two-vehicle crash at Bryan and Walnut resulted in the citation of one driver for failing to yield; no injuries were reported.
  • 12:16 PM & 01:06 PM: Reports of a dog at large and the setting of live traps by the ACO.
  • 12:30 PM & 12:40 PM: Officers addressed a trespassing report and a parking complaint, respectively.
  • 01:22 PM – 07:39 PM: The afternoon and evening saw a variety of activities, including investigations into vehicle break-ins, trespassing, potential prostitution, property damage, and a fight in a parking lot. A traffic stop led to an arrest for driving while revoked.
  • 09:19 PM & 11:28 PM: Officers assisted a stranded motorist and conducted a foot patrol near the viaduct due to recent crimes in the area.
