07:25 AM, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Vine and Webster St. after receiving a report of a firearm discovered near a tree. Upon arrival, they determined the firearm was a BB gun, which they then secured.
09:02 AM, a call led officers to the 1500 block of Calhoun St. regarding a potential burglary. They found that the individual involved lived there and had entered through a window. No report was filed.
10:38 AM, a vehicle was reportedly driving in a careless and imprudent manner in the 200 block of Washington St. However, officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
11:44 AM, at the intersection of US 65 Highway and 190 Highway, officers investigated a report of malfunctioning traffic lights. After monitoring, they concluded the lights were functioning properly.
02:57 PM, a citizen contacted the Chillicothe Police Department with inquiries, which were promptly addressed by the officers.
04:05 PM, while patrolling near the intersection of Highland Ave. and Calhoun St., officers witnessed a motor vehicle crash. It was determined there was no damage, and neither party wished to file a report.
04:37 PM, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Vine St. The situation was deescalated, and the parties involved chose to separate for the day. A 12-hour domestic report was filed.
05:01 PM, in the 10 block of Jackson St., officers found an open door. Attempts to contact the homeowner were unsuccessful, and officers secured the door.
06:39 PM, a theft was reported in the 500 block of Mohawk Dr. Officers took a report, and the investigation is ongoing.
09:39 PM, during a routine patrol, officers noticed a suspicious individual at a closed business in the 600 block of 2nd St. After making contact, the individual was advised to leave the property.
10:30 PM, a follow-up investigation concerning a previous theft in the 1000 block of Graves St. took place in the 900 block of Fredrick St. Two suspects were arrested, cited for stealing, and released with a court date.
Officers also conducted numerous traffic stops and business checks throughout the day.
