The Chillicothe City Council will consider ten ordinances at its next meeting. The council is scheduled to meet at Chillicothe City Hall on March 25, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.

The ordinances under consideration include amendments to the 2023-2024 budget and the acceptance of the 2024-2025 budget. One ordinance pertains to a use tax, while another seeks to authorize contracts with specific nonprofit entities to provide services to the city.

Additionally, an ordinance is set to authorize the execution of a consulting agreement with Rumery and Associates and reimbursement agreements with FEC Development, Chillicothe Municipal Utilities, and the Chillicothe Development Corporation. These agreements aim to assist in the economic development of Chillicothe.

Other ordinances on the agenda involve accepting the lowest responsible bids for the demolition of properties located at 324 Cherry Street and 423 Clay Street, which include asbestos removal. Furthermore, ordinances will be considered to authorize a one-year agreement with Livingston County for 911 dispatch services, a cooperative agreement contract for a paramedic training officer with the Chillicothe R-2 School District, and a lease with Textron for golf cart pace GPS systems.

The agenda for the March 25 Chillicothe City Council meeting also includes a closed session to discuss matters related to real estate and employees.
