Music lovers are in for a treat as the Livingston County Library brings back the popular “Music on the Porch” event on August 31, 2024. This year’s event promises a unique experience with performances taking place in the second-floor courtroom of the library, located at 450 Locust Street. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering an evening filled with live music in a comfortable, air-conditioned setting.

The event encourages attendees to explore the Chillicothe Arts District. Visitors can take a stroll along the west side of the 400 block of Locust Street, starting at the Livingston County Library, continuing to Lifepoint Church, and ending at the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery. Each venue will feature different musical performances throughout the evening.

The festivities will kick off at the Livingston County Library at 6 p.m. with scheduled musical sets until 7 p.m., followed by an open mic session until 8 p.m. Lifepoint Church will host their worship band, offering a lively and engaging performance for attendees. Meanwhile, the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery will begin with an open mic from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by scheduled musician sets from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
