Chasidy Ann Renne (Chas) obit photoChasidy Ann Renne, known as Chas, age 40, of Gallatin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at Mosaic Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Chas was born on April 19, 1984, the daughter of Leslie Todd and Kimberly Ann (Terry) Renne in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 2002 graduate of Gallatin High School. Chas worked as a bank teller, an administrative assistant at McWilliams Funeral Home, and most recently at Access II in Gallatin. She was a member of the Gallatin United Methodist Church.

Chas loved riding the ranger, lounging at Lake Viking, and shopping for her children. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children and family. Chas was known as the “cool mom” and served as a second mother to her children’s friends. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend. Known for her quick wit and great sense of humor, Chas always brought laughter and joy to those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Chas was preceded in death by her father, Todd Renne; brother, Derek Renne; paternal grandmother, Judy O’Brien; maternal grandfather, Walter Junior Terry; and step-grandfather, David Ness. She is survived by her children, Mason Lynch and Katie Lynch, both of Gallatin, Missouri, and Kimalee Houser of Trenton, Missouri; her mother, Kim Ness (Adam) of Gallatin, Missouri; sister, Lindsey Renne of Gallatin, Missouri; stepsister, Courtney Hillyard (John) of Union Star, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Harry Renne (Marie) of Gallatin, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Nancy Terry Thompson (John) of Gallatin, Missouri; step-grandmother, Mary Ness of Strasburg, Colorado; nieces Audriana, Ameira, and Wrenlee; nephew Walker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kickin’ Cancer with Kindness in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Chasidy’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Gallatin United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin.
