Brookfield man airlifted to hospital after UTV crash

A crash occurred early Thursday morning when a UTV ran off the roadway and overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident happened around 12:05 a.m. on Jade Drive, two miles south of Brookfield.

Justin L. Thompson, a 48-year-old man from Brookfield, Missouri, was driving a 2024 Polaris Ranger westbound when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and overturned. Thompson, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained serious injuries.

The Polaris Ranger was totaled and was towed by Procession Towing. 

Emergency responders, including the Marceline Fire Department and the Linn County Sheriff’s Department, arrived at the scene to assist. Thompson was transported by Life Flight Eagle to University Medical Center for treatment.
