Braymer to host Second Annual Doctor C. L. Woolsey Ragtime festival

The Second Annual Doctor C. L. Woolsey Ragtime Music and Artisans Festival will be held in Braymer in September. The Braymer Historical Society is organizing the event, which will take place at Tait Memorial Park on September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The festival will feature live ragtime music, traditional artisans, handmade crafts, and food. Admission to the event is free.

Doctor Calvin Lee Woolsey, a composer and publisher of Ragtime music, was a significant figure in the genre. He passed away in Braymer on November 12, 1946, at the age of 61.
