Bevier teen injured in crash southwest of Macon

An accident occurred on Jaguar Street, two miles southwest of Macon, Missouri, at approximately 6:40 p.m. on August 10, 2024. The incident involved a 2002 Jeep Cherokee driven by Natalie S. West, an 18-year-old woman from Bevier, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, West was driving eastbound when her vehicle slid on the gravel roadway, causing it to veer off the right side of the road and strike a tree.

West, who was wearing her seat belt, sustained minor injuries in the crash. She was transported by Macon County Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital for treatment. The Jeep Cherokee sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by the owner.

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene along with members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
