Area fairs kick off with a variety of livestock shows and family activities

The Sullivan County Fair at Milan is set to host various livestock judging events this evening. The schedule includes a Pee Wee Goat Show at 5:45 p.m., a Dairy Goat Show at 6 p.m., followed by a Breeding and Market Goat Show, and a Sheep Show. The Sheep Show is expected to begin around 7:30 p.m. The fair provides an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their livestock and for visitors to enjoy the events.

The Linn County Youth Fair commences today, with Trap and Skeet shooting scheduled for 4 p.m. at Pin Oak. The fair will run through July 20, with most activities taking place at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Brookfield. The fair promises a variety of events and activities for all attendees.

The Daviess County Junior Livestock Show also kicks off today in Gallatin. The event begins with a Swine Show at 5 p.m. at Dockery Park. The Junior Livestock Show will continue through Saturday, offering numerous livestock events for the community to enjoy.

The Galt Community Fair starts this evening with a dinner featuring spaghetti and chicken alfredo, served by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Galt Fire Protection District. The dinner will be held at the fire station from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Galt Community Fair will continue through Sunday, with various activities and events planned for attendees.
