A single-vehicle accident occurred on 450th Street, three miles northeast of King City, Missouri, on August 31, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., resulting in injuries to two individuals. The crash involved a 2000 Ford F250 driven by Tabatha L. Hatfield, 43, of St. Joseph, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened as the Ford F250 was traveling westbound on 450th Street. The vehicle veered off the north side of the roadway, and the driver, Hatfield, attempted to correct its path. This overcorrection led the truck to strike a ditch and overturn. The vehicle eventually came to rest on its wheels, facing northeast.

Both occupants were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Hatfield sustained moderate injuries, while the passenger, Anthony L. Williams, 49, also from St. Joseph, Missouri, sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph by Grand River EMS for medical treatment. The Ford F250 was severely damaged and was towed from the scene by Raymond Smith’s Towing.

Assistance at the scene was provided by Sergeant B.R. Hililard, the Gentry County Sheriff’s Office, and the King City Fire Department.
