On August 3, 2024, at approximately 7:02 a.m., an ATV accident occurred on County Road 510, half a mile north of Tolona, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2017 Honda Pioneer driven by Caleb L. Tasco, 34, of La Grange, Missouri.
The incident occurred when the northbound ATV failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the roadway, and overturned, ejecting the driver. Tasco sustained serious injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.
The ATV was totaled and removed by a private party. The driver was not wearing safety equipment at the time of the accident.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
