Two vehicle crash on Highway 36 near Mooresville results in injuries

A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 36, approximately one mile west of Mooresville, Missouri, at around 6:22 p.m. on April 24, 2024. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Terrance G. Givens, 34, of Kansas City, Kansas, collided with the rear of a 2022 Ford F750, operated by Adam E. Ponsor, 37, of Waukee, Iowa.

According to the highway patrol’s report, both vehicles traveled westbound when the Chevrolet Malibu struck the Ford F750. Following the impact, the Malibu traveled to the north shoulder and came to rest on its wheels, while the Ford F750 managed a controlled stop on the same shoulder.

Terrance Givens sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported by Chillicothe Ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

The Chevrolet Malibu suffered total damage and was towed from the scene by Gabrielson’s towing service. The Ford F750 sustained moderate damage but was able to be driven from the location. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, including Sergeant L.M. Newman, assisted at the site of the collision.
