Phillip B. Bruce, 57, of Kingston, Missouri, passed away on Thursday morning, April 18, 2024, at his home. Born on August 29, 1966, in Chillicothe, Missouri, to Richard and Patricia (Simpson) Bruce, Phil was of the Catholic faith and grew up attending Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hamilton. A 1984 graduate of Penney High School in Hamilton, he went on to work as an LPN for several years.Phil had a variety of interests, including canning, gardening, collecting coins, and thrift store shopping. He enjoyed cooking, classic music, and TV shows. Above all, Phil loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He cherished time with his children and family, and his dog was also a beloved companion.
Phil is survived by his three sons, Cory Bruce of St. Joseph, Missouri, Chase Bruce of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Tyler Bruce of Columbia, Missouri; his father, Richard Bruce of Hamilton, Missouri; brothers, Kris Bruce of Hamilton, Missouri, Ben Bruce (Crystal) of Kearney, and Doug Bruce (Debbie) of Kingston, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Phil was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bruce, and sister, Kim Miles.
A private burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge, Missouri, with services to be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Stith Funeral Home in Polo, Missouri, (660) 354-2214.
