Missouri 4-H and the University of Missouri Extension will host a Crops Field Day on Wednesday, July 10, at MU Bradford Farm near Columbia.

Youths and volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about common Missouri crops, insects, diseases, disorders, and weeds, as well as pesticide safety. The event will provide state-level opportunities for youths involved in agronomy and plant-science-related projects, according to Maria Calvert, MU Extension state 4-H agriculture educator.

“This area has needed growth, and with the support of our MU Extension colleagues, we will be able to offer a valuable opportunity for young people to develop their knowledge and skills in this field,” Calvert said.

Early registration is $12 and will be open on 4-H Online from May 11 to June 10. Late registration, costing $15, will run from June 11 to June 18. No entries will be accepted after June 18.

4-H members and volunteers should enroll using their 4-H Online profile. This event is also open to non-4-H members, who should create a participant profile on 4-H Online before registering for the event. For more information, visit this link
