MSgt Douglas P. Little, Zone Supervisor for Troop H, Zone 4, is set to retire on May 1, 2024, concluding a distinguished 31-year, 5-month tenure in law enforcement.Little joined the Patrol on January 1, 1993, as part of the 65th recruit class. Following his training at the Patrol's law enforcement academy, he was stationed at Troop H in St. Joseph, Zone 4, Grundy County. His initial role evolved substantially over the years: he was promoted to Corporal and named Assistant Zone Supervisor of Zone 4 on February 1, 2000. A promotion to Sergeant followed on July 1, 2007, with a subsequent transfer to Troop H, Zone 3, Harrison County. He returned to his previous post in Zone 4 as Zone Supervisor on October 1, 2008. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Little graduated from Center High School in 1987 and earned a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1992. MSgt Little and his wife, Jeannie (McAtee), share six children: Leah, Sam, Geoseph, Cody, Shelby, and Mary, along with two grandchildren. His retirement marks the end of a notable career dedicated to public safety and community service.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Little graduated from Center High School in 1987 and earned a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1992.
