A Hamilton man, 51 year old Robert Hobbs, was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison in connection with the death of his father more than 2 1/2 years ago. The sentence was announced by Judge Thomas Chapman in Livingston County Circuit Court in Chillicothe.

In conjunction with Major League Baseball, the Kansas City Royals today announced their 2013 regular season schedule on Wednesday morning. The Missouri Farm Bureau says Farm-Pac trustees have again voted overwhelmingly to support Republican Todd Akin for United States Senate. The Farm Bureau said telephone conference calls held September 5th through the 11th included trustees representing 104 of Missouri's counties, finishing with votes to support Congressman Akin, with results similar to the original endorsement on August 10th.
